Indian shares were slightly higher in early trade on Wednesday after bouncing back from a four-day losing streak the previous day on signs of easing retail inflation in the country.
The benchmark S&P/BSE Sensex was up 262 points, or 0.3 percent, at 76,761 while the broader NSE Nifty index edged up by 53 points, or 0.2 percent, to 23,228.
