Indian shares were marginally higher on Tuesday, tracking mixed cues from global markets.
The benchmark S&P/BSE Sensex was up 75 points, or 0.1 percent, at 81,579 in early trade while the broader NSE Nifty index was up 24 points, or 0.1 percent, at 24,643.
Tata Motors climbed 1.1 percent on the price hike buzz.
Bajaj Finance, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, Bajaj FinServ and Shriram Finance were up 1-2 percent.
Tata Power dropped half a percent after announcing an investment of Rs 1.2 lakh crore in Rajasthan.
Vodafone Idea gained 0.6 percent on fund raising reports.
