Indian shares were flat to slightly higher on Tuesday as investors awaited the latest batch of earnings as well as industrial output and CPI inflation figures for directional cues.
The benchmark 30-share BSE Sensex edged up 112 points, or 0.2 percent, to 60,247 in early trade, tracking mixed global cues. The broader NSE Nifty index was up 40 points, or 0.2 percent, at 17,986.
