Global sell off is expected to continue on Monday. on a lean day of economic announcements, reactions to tariff might be impacting trading. Asian shares finished lower, while European shares are also trading down.

Reports on Consumer and Producer price inflation and consumer sentiment and inflation expectations might get attention this week.

Early signs from the U.S. Futures Index suggest that Wall Street might open lower.

As of 8.20 am ET, the Dow futures were down 936.00 points, the S&P 500 futures were declining 138.00 points and the Nasdaq 100 futures were tumbling 516.75 points.

The U.S. major averages ended Friday’s session in negative. The S&P 500 plummeted 322.44 points or 6.0 percent to 5,074.08, the Nasdaq dove 962.82 points or 5.8 percent to 15,587.79 and the Dow tumbled 2,231.07 points or 5.5 percent to 38,314.86.

On the economic front, the Consumer Credit for February will be issued at 3.00 pm ET. The consensus is $15 billion, while it was up $18.1 billion in the prior month.

The six-month Treasury bill auction will be held at 11.30 am ET.

Asian stocks plummeted on Monday. China’s Shanghai Composite Index plunged 7.3 percent to 3,096.58.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index plummeted 13.2 percent to 19,828.30, with financials and technology stocks taking a beating.

Japanese markets fell sharply. The Nikkei average dove 7.8 percent to 31,136.58, while the broader Topix Index settled 7.9 percent lower at 2,288.66.

Australian markets fell. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 Index slumped 4.2 percent to 7,343.30, while the broader All Ordinaries Index closed 4.1 percent lower at 7,524.30.

European shares are trading lower. CAC 40 of France is losing 352.74 points or 4.85 percent. DAX of Germany is down 935.38 points or 4.53 percent. FTSE 100 of England is declining 372.08 points or 4.62 percent. The Swiss Market Index is sliding 645.51 points or 5.96 percent.

Euro Stoxx 50 that provides a Blue-chip representation of supersector leaders in the Eurozone, is down 5.22 percent.
